E-conference series on sustainable agriculture & food systems

Fully online conferences - open to all and zero emissions

About the initiative

SDSN Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems offers two activities that are accessible to all:

  1. The Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) Feeding a Hungry Planet: Agriculture, Nutrition and Sustainability. This course is offered freely to the general public, but is most relevant to nutritionists, agriculture professionals, private sector actors, and field practitioners who want to learn what they can do to make food production and consumption more sustainable.

  1. Fully-online e-conferences on relevant topics for achieving SDG 2.

    1. In October 2018, we hosted the e-conference Responding to Fall Armyworm in Africa where 500+ participants learned all there is to know about this invasive pest recently introduced to Africa from the Americas.

    2. In June 2019, we hosted an e-conference on Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture, which aimed to turn new evidence from recent interventions into concrete recommendations for practitioners.

    3. In July 2019, we will host a second conference on Fall Armyworm, this time targeted at stakeholders in Asia who are encountering this invasive maize pest for the first time.

    4. A fourth virtual conference on returning organic matter from waste to soils is currently in development. More Information & Registration
